It was the same catwalk in the same gigantic photo studio with the same supermodels walking in front of the same audience, just like in past seasons; but for Calvin Klein's spring show, there was one big difference: it wasn't Calvin taking a bow.

The collection was very Klein in spirit, sticking to a palette of black, white and warm brown tones with occasional hits of creamy orange and pink.

There were elegantly floppy sweaters in feather-light cashmere, viscose and silk layered under leather jackets; crisp shirts puffed up over tiny shorts or slim tailored trousers; and the kind of interesting details Klein would use to raise the occasional eyebrow (a lace coat, laser-cut in lambskin, a tunic dress in bright pink taffeta, and clear lucite pumps with bright neon straps).
