At Smart Data Foundry, we have been working with University of Edinburgh PhD candidate Savina Kim to understand the problem of algorithmic bias and what we can do about it.
We had a panel of guest experts marking International Women's Day and deep dive into how algorithmic bias affects women and people of colour, mainly in financial services. We also talked about what businesses and data scientists can do to mitigate the harm and what governments and regulators might need to do in the future.
