20 Years Apart, These Things Shouldn't Connect

The Yamaha DM1000 was released in 2003. The iPad is a modern product, still being released today. And yet, we can get the two things to connect and interact with each other with software released right in the middle. Stereokrauts' Stereoscope is a software that allows you to connect an iPad with the TouchOSC app to a variety of mixers, including the Yamaha DM1000, DM2000, LS9, M7CL, PM5D, 01V96, 02R96, Roland M380, M400, and Behringer x32. That's a lot of options for mobile control! However, it's not easy to set up. This is because the software hasn't been updated since 2015. In this video, I go over the quite convoluted way to get this system to work. Once it's working, it's pretty straightforward!

It'll also work on android devices, and an iphone (though I wouldn't suggest trying to use it with such a small screen)
