Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen is the panda zoo of the Netherlands, but also has a lot more to offer! A great animal population with numerous other highlights such as polar bears, elephants, tigers and giraffes, combined with some exciting enclosure architecture, make this zoo absolutely worth a visit!
Rhenen is located between Utrecht and Nijmegen, making it easy to reach from Germany as well. But I still think a lot of my fellow countrymen in NRW and the western parts of Lower Saxony think they have to go to Berlin to see Pandas... when they easily could simply head to Ouewehands Dierenpark instead.
