From a shipwreck bell worth five figures to a car driven by Steve McQueen, this episode is loaded with some of the RAREST items ever to hit the Pawn Stars counter.
In this video, we break down the wildest finds that had Rick, Corey, Chumlee and the Old Man juggling expert opinions, huge price tags and heartbreaking reality checks.
🛎 1700s SHIPWRECK BELL – DUTCH EAST INDIA COMPANY
A woman walks in with a heavy bronze bell stamped “VOC” that she bought in Indonesia for $700. If it’s real, it’s straight out of a 1700s Dutch East India Company shipwreck. The expert dates it to around 1760 and values it at **$15,000**. Watching Rick and the Old Man battle over how high to go — and the seller’s shock when they settle at $7,200 — is one of the craziest treasure moments ever.
📜 AARON BURR CHECK – SIGNED BY A VICE PRESIDENT
A history buff brings in an 18th-century check signed by Aaron Burr himself. The expert confirms the signature and explains how Burr’s reputation after killing Alexander Hamilton actually hurts the value. It’s still a legit, signed piece of Founding Father history — and watching the seller’s face drop when the valuation lands at $750 is priceless.
✉️ JFK LETTER… THAT ISN’T
A proud son presents a letter “signed” by John F. Kennedy, thanking his dad for a carved bust from the 1960 Nixon debates. Newspaper clippings, vintage photos — he’s sure it’s a jackpot. Then Rick breaks the news: it’s Autopen, not a real JFK signature. The value drops from potential thousands to basically sentimental only. It’s a masterclass in why provenance matters more than family legend.
⚔ “JOHN WAYNE’S” RIO GRANDE SWORD (AND A FAKE COA)
A seller claims to have a sword used by John Wayne in *Rio Grande*, with a certificate from Western Costume. Rick calls in John Wayne’s son, Ethan, and even phones the costume house. The stamp, signature and paperwork all look wrong. The COA is likely forged, and the supposed Hollywood treasure crashes back to Earth.
🚗 STEVE MCQUEEN’S 1951 CHEVY CONVERTIBLE
Then comes the real deal: the 1951 Chevy convertible Steve McQueen drove in his last movie, The Hunter*. With paperwork and a car expert backing it up, this thing is the definition of rare. Danny rates it an 8 out of 10 even without the movie pedigree. Rick haggles from $40,000 down and locks it in at **$37,000* — and you can see him fighting the urge to keep it forever.
💳 THE GUN THAT “KILLED” JESSE JAMES
A seller claims he has the Colt that killed Jesse James, with a story tracing back to Frank James and a Wild West show. The heavy chrome and missing correct markings tell a different story. Rick tears through the legend versus the facts and ends up passing on what’s really just a cool sideshow piece, not the legendary assassin’s weapon.
🎰 ROULETTE WHEEL, ANTIQUE LIGHTER & MORE
We also look at:
• A 1920s countertop cigar lighter that still works and lands a $1,000 deal
• A vintage roulette wheel that Rick literally gambles on with a spin of the ball
• A signed Scottish dagger authenticated by hallmarks after its “twin” is exposed as a repro
• A 1960 Chevy Corvair that looks cool but drives sketchy enough to kill the deal
💥 In this video we talk about:
• How experts instantly separate rare treasures from convincing fakes
• Why provenance (papers, stamps, hallmarks) beats every story
• The tension between collector passion and cold, hard profit
• The moments where sellers get life-changing news — good and bad
