Bionic Buzz® interviewed National Geographic Explorer Allison Fong over Zoom to discuss her upcoming appearance in Pole to Pole with Will Smith.

During the conversation, Allison shared where her passion for science began growing up in Rhode Island and what it was like working alongside Will Smith on an expedition to the North Pole. She also broke down how icebreaker ships cut through massive sheets of ice, what it’s like diving beneath the frozen surface, and the critical role phytoplankton play in maintaining the health of our planet.
