Since they lost their mother due to illness six months ago, the eldest daughter Sakurako (Mana Ashida) has been in charge of running the house and taking care of the family. One day, their father returns from the U.S., along with a young American woman named Alice (Charlotte Kate Fox) and introduces her as "his new wife/their new mom." Shocked by her father’s completely-out-of-blue decision, Sakurako is unable to accept Alice and scrambles to kick her out of the house. Will Alice eventually be able to befriend the children?
