It’s the holiday season, and as a gift to SLIDERS fans, Fandom Entanglement is celebrating by releasing twelve separate episodes each day leading up to Christmas! We’ve rallied multiple guests, fellow podcasters, friends, and family to discuss Season 3, Episode 12, “Season’s Greedings” (original airdate: December 20, 1996 on Fox).

On a world where people are enticed by consumerism and giant malls in the sky, the Sliders get jobs as mall employees in order to find the mother of an abandoned child. Arturo is a reluctant Santa, Rembrandt and Wade are his elves, while Quinn gets an administrative job. Meanwhile, Wade faces some strong emotions when she meets her sister and father.

This episode was written by Eleah Horwitz (her second of three episodes), was directed by Richard Compton, and guest-starred Chase Masterson (from Star Trek: DS9 fame) as Wade’s sister, Kelly Welles!

2nd Slide: “Christmas Across the Pond”

This time, Damon Sugameli is joined by frequent feedbacker and UK resident Pedro Ferreira, who also appeared earlier this year on the Spill the Geek Tea podcast to discuss the 30th Anniversary of Sliders! Pedro offers a lot of insight into not only this episode but the behind-the-scenes history of the series in general. He also shares his hopes for a successful Sliders reboot/continuation (of which original cast members Jerry, John and Cleavant have been petitioning for). Hope you enjoy our analysis and review!
