We reached Parsa seat in Bihar’s Saran district, where Dr. Karishma Rai, the RJD candidate, is contesting the election.
She is the granddaughter of former Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai, niece of former minister Chandrika Rai, and sister-in-law of Tej Pratap Yadav.

In our conversation, Dr. Karishma Rai spoke about women’s participation in politics, RJD’s internal equations, and her public outreach campaign.
Later, we interacted with the locals — and what we saw on the ground raised serious questions.
Despite the government’s claim of liquor prohibition, a man appeared right in front of our camera holding a bottle of liquor.
