I Took Sri Lanka's Craziest Train in 3rd Class 🇱🇰

Today I'm taking a Sri Lanka train in 3rd class from Nanu Oya to Ella. This route is a very popular one with tourists, as the Odyssey train comes past twice a week and there's a train service every couple of hours.
To get to Nanu Oya station, I first took a Sri Lanka bus from Nuwara Eliya. Soon after, I realised my train was going to be delayed by over an hour! But you can't complain when the train ticket is less than $5.
The doors were open on the train and people were incredibly friendly. It seems 3rd class is particularly popular with locals while foreigners typically book a first class train.
I arrived in Ella later in the evening with a hefty delay, but had a fantastic time on Sri Lanka's most chaotic train journey.
