Every episode, we open a new bottle of Whisky, and share our tasting experience with whisky lovers around the world. Today, we are trying out Hakushu, a single malt Japanese Whisky well recognised for its green and fresh signature style.

Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky
Suntory Whisky was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. For over three generations, Suntory's master blenders have devoted themselves to pursuing the harmony of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Shaped through masterful technique and served with a reverence for Japanese omotenashi, Suntory whiskies are among the most awarded and admired in the world.

Hakushu is the verdant single malt Japanese whisky born in Japan's mountain forest distillery.

Established in 1973 by second master blender Keizo Saji, the Hakushu Distillery lives deep within the forests at the foot of the Japanese Southern Alps. The whiskies born here are made from water with a rare softness, only possible by slow filtration through ancient granite. Maturing in a lush, forested microclimate, Hakushu's renowned single malt Japanese whiskies are blessed by the region's ever-changing seasons - each leaving their own verdant signature. Here, its artisans pursue their founder's legacy through the art of 'Tsukuriwake' - the diversity in the making. Diverse fermentation, distillation and maturation techniques create the blending opportunities that are essential to achieving the signature subtle, refined and complex taste that is the Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky.
