Ren does it again with a powerful continuation of Vincent’s story. In Vincent’s Tale – Self Portrait, we witness Vincent’s frustration with the mundane repetition of his life finally reach a breaking point. His anger boils over, altering the course of his life and leading him toward a violent—and tragically predictable—outcome.

Ren captures the quiet despair of existing as a worker within a capitalist system so beautifully and painfully here. The storytelling, the pacing, the symbolism—it all lands. I truly believe there is something in this tale for everyone to relate to. I am once again blown away by Ren’s artistry and left eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Vincent’s story.
