Peter Hitchens, who is apparently the brother of Christopher Hitchens, claims to have once been a "revolutionary socialist," but has now turned conservative. Personally, I doubt whether Hitchens ever really understood what socialism is. This conversation with John Anderson touched on why the authoritarian left is taking over academia (of course), why homosexuality is destroying the institution of marriage, and a lot of other dumb takes.
