Are you looking for an opportunity to get your PhD? I will share my experience with those interested. My name is Dr Rashid Gabdulhakov (or simply, Rashid), I obtained my #PhD in the #Netherlands and defended it with honours. I will talk about how to start looking for a position, how to apply, what to expect, what to look out for, etc. I will share my insights about the trajectory, teaching experience, publishing and, ultimately, defending a PhD in the Netherlands. Today I kick the series off with a general discussion of the pros and cons of doing a PhD. This is not an exhaustive list of pros or cons. This is not an official tutorial. This is simply a personal view and personal experience-based monologue. Hope you find it useful.
