Great sailing and fun times in Cambridge, MD. It had been quite a few years since we last sailed to Cambridge. On that visit we found a town with lots of potential but sadly suffering from economic malaise. We had received some great reports from sailors who had visited more recently and decided it was time to see how the town had changed for ourselves. So, we cast off the lines and sailed across the Chesapeake Bay and up the Choptank River to this historic maritime town. We were well received at Cambridge Yacht Basin and were very pleasantly surprised to find Cambridge had really stepped up its game. The downtown was a vibrant mix of quality restaurants, bars, cafes, art galleries, antique shops and boutiques. We throughly enjoyed exploring downtown as well as the working waterfront and boatyards. The Harriett Tubman Museum was quite interesting. After three days it was time to leave but this time we knew we’d be back soon!
