After two decades in the U.S. Foreign Service serving in diplomatic roles across the world, including as Senior Coordinator for National Security Affairs and Special Advisor for Africa in the Office of Vice President Kamala Harris, Jessica Davis Ba (C ‘93, M.A.C. '97) was sworn in as the Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire in January 2023. In this video, she talks about how her education at Annenberg prepared her for a career in diplomatic service, her day-to-day life as an ambassador, and how communication between the global community can build bridges and make the world a better place.
