Here from Jade whose son struggled to engage with mainstream education and VIY offered an alternative route outside of the classroom environment to gain hands-on experience and qualifications.
After volunteering on two projects in the West Midlands, Jade's son learned practical skills gaining two Entry Level 3 City and Guilds accreditations in carpentry, and painting and decorating. He is now being supported by our Progressions Team with apprenticeship applications and studying for his CSCS card.
