Talks between US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Vladimir Putin on efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia have ended after five hours with a deal no closer.
Putin's foreign policy adviser said there was still much work to be done, with territory an apparent sticking point.
The American team, which included President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will now report back to President Trump.
Putin had earlier accused Kyiv’s European allies of sabotaging US-led peace efforts to end the nearly four-year-old war in Ukraine.
He accused Europe of amending peace proposals with “demands that are absolutely unacceptable to Russia,” and were “blocking the entire peace process.
