Ilio Barontini's performance of Over the Rainbow, Harold Arlen's iconic song taken from the film score of The Wizard of Oz, is pure magic made by expressing the whole potential of the piano. An original introduction, also reappearing in the middle and at the end of the piece, gives a precious frame to the melody without making the listening heavy; quite the opposite, it enlightens the immaculate nature and the lightheartedness of this music.
