If you want to implement ball screens into your offense, it is important for the ball handler to understand how to read the defense and the screener also reacts correctly. Clint Hordemann of Select Basketball explains the different options the ball handler and screener has when coming off a high ball screen. They include what to do when:
1. The defender tries to get through the screen and the helpside defender sags
2. The defender goes under the screen
3. The defender anticipates the ball screen
4. The defenders double team or hedge off the screen
