Testing an APS-C lens on full frame? Yes! In this video I test the Pentax-DA 50mm f/1.8 on a full frame Pentax body to see how well it actually covers the sensor. It's a plastic fantastic!
I shot:
• White screen vignetting tests (f/1.8 → f/8)
• Real-world night photography
• A portrait at f/1.8
• Talking-head commentary during the night shoot
Despite being an APS-C-only lens, and the lens is based to old 50mm design. The DA 50mm performs better than expected on full frame. Some vignetting wide open, good coverage when stopped down — and a surprisingly artistic look in low light.

• Pentax DA 50mm f/1.8
• Full-frame Pentax camera K-1 MKII
• Tripod, projection screen
