Cetshwayo, traveled to London to request that he should be reinstated as king of the Zulu Kingdom
Cetshwayo kaMpande, the last king of the Zulu Kingdom, was removed from power by the British colonial authorities in 1879. The events leading to his removal were primarily rooted in tensions between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom over control of land and resources in southern Africa.
The Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 was a major conflict that ultimately led to Cetshwayo's removal from power. The British colonial administration had been concerned about the Zulu Kingdom's power and potential threat to British interests in the region. Additionally, there were disputes over land ownership and trade routes, which further strained the relationship between the British and the Zulus.
