Dan German wrote this song while living in Tumbler Ridge and reflecting on his many years living in the Peace Country, many of those years spent Market Gardening down in South Taylor. They say once you drink from that river you never ever really leave. His final journey was spent doing what he had always dreamed of once he first seen this magnificent river, he always wanted to go on a raft and float down this river to see where all it went.
