Bristol Airport | The Magic Of Bristol Flying | Sharing Aviation | Flying With Friends

Jill is a good friend of mine who has supported me all the way through my flight training. The least I could do was to make her day by taking her on a surprise flight at Bristol Airport. The original plan was to take her to Thruxton, but unfortunately this wasn't possible so we go on a short jolly over the Somerset Levels instead.

Jill has flown in light aircraft before, having flown a number of hours in various types from Compton Abbas and also completing a flight in a Spitfire from Exeter, but for one reason or another she has never been able to pursue her own LAPL / PPL.

In this video I've tried to capture the magic and fun of flying in a heart warming way. Sharing aviation safely with your friends is what it's all about. We get treated to a taxi along the North side of the airport before our Runway 09 Departure. Once airborne we depart via Chew Valley Lake, heading over Shepton Mallet and Wells before returning via Cheddar and Churchill.

And yes, she requests we orbit over Tescos in Wells! Why not?! I mean, what other landmarks could you possibly want to see?!
