The AM Motorsport Team were back in Malta for the final run of the year. After breaking the European record for a FWD Diesel car in the UK, at Santa Pod Raceway with a run of 8.70 at 157mph, they thought they would give it one last go. On the Thursday before I turned up (and straight off the trailer) they ran a new PB of 8.47 at 165mph. Over the Weekend they improved that to an 8.39 at 164, and backed it up with two 8.44's. The team had to work hard though, having to change a gearbox, which lost reverse (caused by 1 broken tooth), and a turbo had to be replaced, after one let go at the top end of the track.
