This short video showing a vintage razor I've recently bought from E-bay. The razor is a Gillette new (long comb) razor from the 1930's. Using hot soapy water to soak the razor for 10 minutesand then used an old toothbrush to give it refreshing up and loosen any residue from the razor. I removed any oxidation between the toothed comb and the sides of the base plate with a Stanley blades. Then I used autosol and some mutton cloth to polish and buff the razor up. I washed the razor again in soapy water to get rid of the polish,dried to with a paper towel,then finally left it in barbicide for 10 minutes,rinsed again and left it to air dry,ready to shave with.
