William: "He's not dead. Let me try."

Jake: "Sir, step back. He's deceased."

William kneels. His technique is wrong. Hands too low. Compressions too deep. Ribs cracking.

Jake: "Stop! You're—"

Beep. The monitor spikes.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

A pulse returns. The dead man opens his eyes.

Navy Admiral arrives: "Iron Lung? I thought you were dead."

William had saved 340 lives in Vietnam using battlefield CPR. Techniques that shouldn't work. But do.
