South Africa is having a lot of issues. Some of these are massive government corruption, rising poverty rates, a wealth gap, blackouts and recently also a legitimacy problem.
Many people in the Western Cape feel not represented anymore by the ANC, which won every post-Apartheid election on the national level but can't win on a provincial level in the Western Cape anymore. Here, the DA rules, but unfortunately for some, they can't win anywhere else, except for in the Western Cape.
So, they created the Western Cape independence movement which is seeking independence under the name of Cape Republic. Some parties were formed, who demand independence. But will they succeed?
