Stereotypes, according to Jerin’s speech, is a big problem in our society. It puts labels on how a
person should act or live according to their sex, race, personality, and other facets. She also
adds how this could affect individuals who perhaps practice non-normative choices or lifestyles,
but feel ashamed of pursuing these because of inherent stereotypes, through suitable and
relatable examples. She has also included alternatives that underscore the need for a collective
societal revamp in thoughts.
