Today I wanted to share my Ultimate AC Service List. It is a great way to have it working the best it can and see if anything easy needs to be fixed. This is a complete step by step of all that I do to maintain Our AC. When the Summer Heat hits you want that AC working as good as it can and the same can be said about the use of the heat pump as it gets colder. AC Cleaning List:
CLEAN AND STRAIGHTEN THE FINS ON BOTH COILS
CHECK THE CAPACITOR AND ORDER A BACKUP
DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR BY USING THE METER ON AC VOLTS
CHECK THE HERM AND THE FAN TERMINALS TO COMMON
CHECK THE COMPRESSOR HEALTH BY TESTING THE RUN TO COMM
AND THE START TO COMM AND ADD THOSE TOGETHER AND IT SHOULD
BE THE SAME AS TESTING BETWEEN START AND RUN
CLEAN THE DRAIN HOLES FOR CONDENSATION TO FLOW UNRESTRICTED.
TREAT THE AC COVER FOR UV PROTECTION (303)
INSIDE:
CLEAN FILTERS AND DRY THEM
CHECK AIR FLOW AND SEPARATION
