Sometimes old school technology works way better than modern options. When it comes to making cuts on a lathe I feel that is very true of a tangential HSS holder compared to many carbide insert options available. I purchased the Diamond Tool Holder from Eccentric Engineering and put it to the test. In this video I show how to use the sharpening fixture, threading, finishing pass and we discuss the advantages of this tool and look at the types of finishes it produces.
