It's time for two of our favorite bands to battle it out! In one corner we have the lean, mean fighting machine that is One Direction and in the other we have the fiery, feisty five-some Fifth Harmony. Two will compete, one will win!

Of course first we have to declare a victor from last week's battle between One Direction and Little Mix. The winner is.... LITTLE MIX! It was neck and neck, but the girls pulled through in the end. Bravo, ladies.

But let's give 1D a chance to take back the throne, shall we? The guys had quite a week... and quite a year on Twitter. According to Twitter's blog, the guys nabbed 3 of the 5 most retweeted entertainment tweets of the year. Niall tweeting about his 20th birthday landed 367,000 retweets, Zayn's picture of a sleeping Harry got 327,000 and Zayn engagement tweet got 320K. Needless to say, Directioners rule Twitter.

And if you thought 2013 was a good year to be a Directioner, 2014 might actually be the best year ever. The fellas have reportedly signed on for a 10-part reality TV series.

Alright, let's move onward to our favorite harmonizing ladies. The girls have been Jingle Ball rocking across the country this week. I saw them bring down the house at the Staples Center for the LA Jingle Ball last week, and since they've been to Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago and Atlanta -- and tonight are performing at Madison Square Garden in New York.

And the girls also nabbed two J14 Icon awards for Icon of Tomorrow and Iconic Band -- beating out 1D!
