The Kundah Pumped Storage Project features two key reservoirs, the Porthimund upper reservoir and the Avalanche-Emerald lower reservoir nestled in the Nilgiris. Water moves between these reservoirs to generate clean energy. During peak demand, water flows down through underground tunnels to spin four powerful 125MW turbines housed in an underground powerhouse. MEIL Group is expertly constructing the turbines and the entire underground facility, ensuring minimal environmental impact while delivering sustainable, renewable power for Tamil Nadu's future.
