ORTHODONTIST EATS FREEZE DRIED CANDY FOR THE FIRST TIME! IS IT SAFE FOR BRACES?

IS FREEZE DRIED CANDY SAFER FOR BRACES?
1. it CAN be, depending on the type of candy....
2. MOST candy has SUGAR! While it's okay to ***occasionally have sugar with braces on, we don't want to frequently snack on candy throughout the day because this can lead to cavities!
3. if you are going to eat sugar, it's best to eat it all at once instead of snacking on it. We want to limit the time that sugar sits around the braces!
4. In my opinion, the Freeze dried Cotton Candy Taffy and charleston chews were safer for braces! This doesn't mean they are "BRACES PROOF", things can happen. My recommendation is to cut them up into smaller pieces to make them even safer!
5. Make sure to brush and floss after consuming anything with sugar :)
