"King Kong" (2005) is an epic adventure film directed by Peter Jackson. The film is a remake of the 1933 classic of the same name. Set in the early 1930s during the Great Depression, the story follows filmmaker Carl Denham, who leads an expedition to the mysterious Skull Island.

There, they discover a colossal ape named Kong, who becomes infatuated with Ann Darrow, an actress on Denham's crew. The expedition captures Kong and transports him to New York City, where chaos ensues as Kong escapes and wreaks havoc in the city, culminating in a dramatic showdown on the Empire State Building.
