Welcome to Ian Mac Woodturning, In this video I turned a piece of Walnut that I've had forever, the top layer has a popcorn like texture, on the inside it was very hard. Unfortunately there was a soft spot inside which became thin so I couldn't make the hollow form as I was intending, I suppose it's a Walnut Ashtray?
