ACEC-SK 2025 : Lynden Penner, M.Sc., P.Geo., P.Eng. is the 2025 recipient of the
Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Meritorious Achievement Award :

Lynden Penner, M.Sc., P.Geo., P.Eng. is recognized for his exemplary career in the consulting engineering and geoscience fields in Saskatchewan. In his 39 years of experience in the consulting engineering and geoscience industry, Lynden has shown a high level of expertise as well as exemplary leadership and dedication to the engineering and geoscience fields and has made significant contributions to the advancement of the consulting industry and business in Saskatchewan.

Born and raised in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Lynden obtained a B.E. (1983) and M.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1986. That same year, Lynden began working for J.D. Mollard and Associates (JDMA) as a Geological Engineer under the mentorship of Jack Mollard, OC., SOM, Ph.D., LL.D., FCAE, FEIC, FCRGS, P.Eng., P.Geo. Under Jack’s leadership, Lynden quickly became a recognized expert in stereoscopic air photo interpretation, remote sensing, terrain analysis and its many and varied applications to engineering and geoscience fields and the consulting industry.
Throughout his career as a consulting geological engineer, Lynden developed a wide breadth of experience and expertise. Working on projects across Saskatchewan and Canada, Lynden applied his knowledge and skills on a range of engineering and geoscience consulting projects including but not limited to: terrain analysis for site characterization and linear infrastructure
routing, geohazard identification and assessment, aggregate resource exploration and characterization, drainage, flooding and watershed analysis, fluvial geomorphology, lacustrine sediment coring, shore zone erosion modelling, lineament mapping and geospatial analysis.
