Based on the conclusion of Réminiscences des Puritains de Bellini, S.390, it was composed for solo piano using themes from the opera "I puritani" by Vincenzo Bellini. Completed in 1840-41, with revising his former piece, it has even more exquisite and beautiful melody than the 'Polacca' part of his 'réminiscences des puritains'. With Han Chen's astonishing live performance, Liszt's work displays brilliance once again.
