Why not show the Sierpinski triangle as an origami tessellation? Enjoy!
This video is for entertainment and showing this tessellation, but I can give some hints if you want to fold this model yourself:
• The tessellation can be done without coloring the paper, leaving some triangle twists uncollapsed (as I show in the video), but it becomes much more visual by coloring the triangles.
• I use A3 paper, cut a hexagon and pre-crease a triangular grid of 32 divisions in each direction. This gives me a Sierpinski triangle of order three.
• The hexagon is cut into a triangle, and then I just fold triangle twists all over the paper. Make sure to get the first middle triangle in the right direction (for an odd order of the Sierpinski triangle it will be reversed relative the whole big triangle, pointing down, as here), and be careful at the edges (you may want to pre-crease the triangles to make them neat).
• Before twisting the triangles I color the black triangles (make sure to choose the right ones). By coloring hexagons the triangles will become neatly colored all over the edges.

If you are unfamiliar with this tessellation technic I can recommend another youtube channel, HappyFolding, with several basic tutorials on this. This is where I learned. These two tutorials are relevant:

Thanks for watching! And give it a go yourself. Comment below if you want more instructions.
