STAR LANTERN LIGHTBOX TUTORIAL. DIY Christmas Paper decor ideas

This video will help you how to create this papercut star lightbox. The instruction is suitable for other similar lantern. You can cutting out by the hand with art knife, scissors or by your plotter machine.

▼ WHAT YOU NEED
1. Template https://www.etsy.com/listing/1301010241
2. Paper 170-180 gsm (65 lb) for cutting layers
3. Paper 250-400 gsm for frame. You can choose colored carstock.
4. Foam sticks (I used 3mm depth)
5. LED light strip or fairy lights (I used white, but you can use RGB LED lights with remote contol - it'll be more beautiful)
6. Glue and double-side tape
7. Art knife, scissors or cutting plotter machine as Cricut, Brother, Silhouette.

▼ Text instruction
Step 1. Glue foam sticks to first (back) layer
Step 2. Glue the second layer to the foam and repeat with the next layers (like a lightbox)
Step 3. Take star sides and fold along the dotted lines.
Step 4. Glue frame sides to frame back-side
Step 5. Make a hole in the back cover and slip the lights
Step 6. Glue lights to the back
Step 7. Put layers into the star frame box and glue frame edges to the top layer.
Step 8. Glue top frame piece
