A night to remember on the California Delta. Hooked this beautiful 80+ inch white sturgeon that gave me the battle I've been waiting for. Such a subtle bite led to almost 200lbs flying out the water! Epic runs, crazy drag peeling, everything an angler could ever ask for.
Little Backstory:
12 years ago I went on my very first sturgeon trip. Hooked into 2 slots & managed to lose them both. This year decided to start Dino hunting once again. After 6 trips, I had 3 shakers biggest being 36 inches. The night before this trip I was on a charter boat. I was the only person on the boat that did not hook a fish. Thankfully, my new friend Luis hit me up saying lets go hook a monster & that's exactly what we did. I have officially gotten over my Dino heartbreak. REDEMPTION!
