Family fishing trip - Picnic Point, Mathoura NSW

My Dad, my brother and I had a weekend away at a caravan park in Picnic Point, Mathoura, which is in southern New South Wales (NSW).
We explored many different spots over the couple of days we were there, including Gulpa Creek, the Edwards River, and the Murray River.

The footage varies in quality, some of it was shot from my brother's phone, and some from my video camera sunglasses. I apologize for cutting out the original audio - we were more focused on having a great time together than creating content for a video!

Most of the fish we caught were Cod, which were not targeted - they were accidental by-catches. We were only using bait rigs with small hooks, and worms or corn for bait. It is currently closed season for both Trout Cod and Murray Cod, and it against the rules to target or take either species during their breeding period. The season opens again to anglers on December 1st, 2018. All fish caught were treated with the utmost care and respect, and were returned safely to the water.

You can see many kangaroos and also an emu in this video. Please remember not to approach either of these species in the wild, as they can be quite dangerous (despite their cute appearances)
