The pandemic obviously had a major impact on railroading operations and railfanning activities in this year. Yet, it was not a year without highlights. Whereas there was no point of going on extensive excursions, watching the action at the door step more closely had its own merits. For example, it revealed the rather large variety of motive power CSX puts on their rails, including the old SD40-2, new AC4400CW and SD70MAC rebuilds, and modern EMD Tier 4 power (ST70AH), the latter of which visited the Abbeville Subdivision for the first time. Special moves and local trains have their place in this compilation as well as magnificent short line action. After all, it was a fun year out trackside and it makes us railfans optimistically looking forward to a new year full of action. Enjoy the video! Happy Holidays and stay safe in 2021.
