🔴 Overhaulin' S6 E2 - 1954 Chevy Pickup Truck

The deconstruction of a 1954 Chevrolet pickup belonging to a recently retired high school teacher and coach has been completed. While Chuck believes his trusted mechanic is simply working to get the old truck running again, his vehicle is actually at the Overhaulin’ shop undergoing a complete transformation.

During teardown, the team discovered unsafe frame welding, hidden rust, and significant structural damage. A replacement frame was sourced from Arizona, repaired, and prepped for the build. Veteran A-Team members took on the metalwork, replacing corroded panels and reshaping key sections of the cab and fenders.

Chip Foose contributed his design expertise, incorporating unique styling touches — including 1939 Chevy taillights and a custom tailgate blending 1953 and 1954 Chevrolet design elements. With a Glaserat primer base, a precision paint job in maroon and black, and a fully powder-coated suspension, the classic pickup was reborn as a show-quality machine.

From the first cut of metal to the final polish, this episode follows the entire restoration process — showcasing craftsmanship, teamwork, and heart. The build culminates in an emotional reveal, as Chuck sees his revitalized Chevy for the first time.
