In this video, I show and explain how to access and replace a water-damaged amplifier caused by clogged water drains, a very common issue on BMW 4 Series models.
Water buildup from blocked drains can leak into the trunk area and damage the amplifier and other electronics. I walk through where the amplifier is located, how to access it, and how to properly remove it. I also demonstrate how to access and remove the water drain plugs to help prevent this issue from happening again.
This step-by-step explanation is intended to help BMW owners diagnose and fix this problem themselves, potentially saving time and money.
🔧 Tools Needed:
Flat head screwdriver
17mm Allen (hex) bit
Clip remover
10mm socket with 1/4” wrench
