KANSAS MULTIVORTEX WEDGE TORNADO – MAY 29, 2018
A powerful supercell in southwest Kansas produced a large multivortex wedge tornado near Kingsdown, Kansas on May 29, 2018. This video shows the storm evolving into a massive rotating base with multiple vortices embedded in the circulation.
Earlier in the chase, the same storm produced a photogenic stovepipe tornado near Ensign, Kansas about 45 minutes before the wedge. Both tornadoes are featured in this video, along with dramatic structure shots of the storm spinning over the open plains.
