Am 24. und 25.08.2024 feierten die Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) das 125jährige Jubiläum der Harzquer- und Brockenbahn. Aus diesem Anlass reisten zwei Gastfahrzeuge vom Deutschen Eisenbahn-Verein aus Bruchhausen-Vilsen nach Wernigerode: Dampflok "Hoya" von 1899 (auch schon 125 Jahre alt!) sowie der Wismarer Schienenbus T41 aus dem Jahr 1932, Spitzname "Maus".

Höhepunkt war der Brocken-Sonderzug am 25.08.24, den die "Hoya" als Vorspannlok zusammen mit der Neubaulok 99 241 zog. Hier sind das Ankuppeln des ungleichen Paares sowie die Abfahrt aus Wernigerode "Hauptbahnhof" zu sehen.

On August 24th and 25th, 2024, the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways (HSB) celebrated the 125th anniversary of the Harzquer- and Brockenbahn. On this occasion, two guest vehicles from the German Railway Association from Bruchhausen-Vilsen traveled to Wernigerode: the steam locomotive "Hoya" from 1899 (also 125 years old!) and the Wismar rail bus T41 from 1932, nicknamed "Mouse".

The highlight was the Brocken special train on August 25th, 2024, which the "Hoya" pulled as a pilot locomotive together with the locomotive 99 241. Here you can see the coupling of the unequal pair and the departure from Wernigerode "Hauptbahnhof".
