Future Islands - "Waking" LYRICS on screen

I admit I failed to see the irony in this song when I heard it on the album, but when first watched a video of its performance, I had a smile from ear to ear, I thought: I must save this for when I find it difficult getting out of bed, stuck in my ruminating thoughts.

This was the song I was looking forward to watch FI perform live earlier this year - I wanted to dance to it in the middle of a crowd - but the show got cancelled. The band is finishing a North-American tour right now, and at the end, bands always thank those who went to the shows. This one is dedicated to those who couldn’t make it, but with a special thanks to those who were there and shared their video recordings, enabling us to still catch up with them.
