"Personal Diary YouTubers" and YouTube's Mental Health Rabbit Hole..

Recently on YouTube there has been an influx of new content creators that I have designated the term "Personal Diary YouTubers." These are the regular, every day, normal guys who upload videos of themselves talking about their experiences, their philosophies for life, and their outlook on themselves, other people, and the world. There's nothing inherently wrong with using your channel to discuss your thoughts and feelings, but what happens when the content you make only conveys pessimissim, depression, and negativity?

This platform is full of young, and extremely impressionable people who are very susceptible to delusional thinking. This content can actually be quite harmful even though on the surface it appears to be an attempt to foster connection and support. As a creator you have a duty to make GOOD content, and by GOOD I mean, ethically, morally, and philosophically GOOD content. Creators are very quick to fall into the trap of making daily videos without proper reflection on what the message actually conveys to their audience. Please, when you engage with this type of content, understand that for many, the unconscious motivation is to make money churning out low-effort content. They would never admit to it, but that's because we rarely unearth our unconscious motivations on our own because of how disagreeable they are. Our ego's put up a defense against the accuation of being "driven by greed" because we want to appear morally and ethically superior and "enlightened."

If any of the personal diary youtubers resonate with you, thats okay. Just as long as you know that they, and the whole depressive and pessimistic youtube metnal health void, as a whole, do not reflect the thinking of the vast majority of people. There are happy people out there despite the negativity YouTube feeds you through your own algorhythm.
