Boat races on the Bayou Teche were held as part of the annual picnic in City Park in the 1950s. I think these boat races may be from that event. The video is digitized from a VHS tape. Apparently the original home movie was transferred to VHS format by videotaping a projected home movie, with occasional narration and music played in the background.
